I traded off the Blaster for this “naked” beast yesterday.

The PO rebuilt the forks and shock, new bearings in the triple tree, swinger and axles, powder coated the frame and stripped/repainted the engine.

It needs tires badly but I’m fine with that. I’ll be setting this one up as a dedicated Ice racer for next season.

I was told it was a 1985 but the design of the swingarm is from 1983. The powdercoating filled in the VIN so I’m sticking with 83.

With the 18" tires and 15/40 sprockets she really cooks.

I hope you keep doing this so I can eventually buy one and not break my neck on seasonal access roads

It’s insane fun. We used to do it on a backwater area on the Mississippi back in Iowa.

The real crazies were on dirt bikes.

These, after a short break, have been a lifelong obsession. When I’m too old to ride hard I’ll pick up another 250sx and just tool around.
